Melinda Facey is our French and Italian connection within the Education Tours department.
 

Melinda is passionate about her languages and history which has meant she has travelled extensively in Europe. From 1997 to 1999 she worked as an au pair in Lausanne, Switzerland, meanwhile completing the Diplome de Langue with the Alliance Francaise.  In 2006 she studied Italian at the ABC Italian Language School in Florence, Italy, supporting her stay and consolidating her new language skills as an au pair with a local family.  At this time she also travelled to Spain and spent a month studying Spanish language and culture at the Studio Hispanico in Madrid. Most recently, Melinda spent 7 months as an English language assistant in a secondary school in rural St Cere, France, and travelled widely through the region.  Combined with this has been 5 full years of teaching French and History to year 7 through 12 in both private and public sector schools within Australia.
