Hurtigruten Coastal Steamer

Life on Board the Traditional Ships

The oldest ships are also the smallest, but the unique atmosphere found on these ships means that many people actually prefer to travel on these "classics". Both ships have been extensively refitted and modernised in keeping with the era in which they were built.

The cabins:

The cabins on the traditional ships may differ somewhat, but all are comfortable, well-equipped and cosy. Some are equipped with bunk beds and a number of cabins have shared toilet and shower facilities. The cabins on deck B must keep their portholes closed between October and April.

Special Cabins:

There are no equipped cabins equipped for disabled persons aboard the traditional ships.
