Life on Board the New Ships

The newest Coastal ships have all been built over the past few years. They are therefore equipped with state-of-the-art engineering technology as well as the very latest in navigational, communication and safety equipment.

There are three cabin classifications on these ships.

Standard cabins:

All cabins are modern and comfortable, whether they are located inside or outside. Double cabins have a sofa and a berth, while the 3-bed cabins have an extra berth. Outside cabins have windows allowing you to view the scenery, and many cabins on decks 2 and 3 have a porthole. All cabins are equipped with rugs which passengers may use if they wish to sit out on the deck.

Mini Suites:

Mini suites are located on decks 5 and 6. In terms of size they fall somewhere between standard cabins and suites, but in terms of furnishings they are more similar to the suites. Mini-suites are found on the MS Nordnorge, MS Polarlys and MS Nordlys.

Suites:

The new ships have two large suites, both with comfortable armchairs, TV and telephone. The suites have a separate bedroom.

Special Cabins:

Large, specially equipped cabins for disabled people can be found on the same deck as the ship’s reception. The ship’s gangway is fitted with a wheelchair ramp.
