Hurtigruten Coastal Steamer

Life on Board the Mid-Generation Ships

The mid-generation ships have the same high standards of comfort as found on the new ships. The main difference between the two is that the mid-generation ships are smaller. They are decorated with works of art by well-known artists from different regions of the country. The panorama lounges on the top decks ensure that you will get excellent views of the passing scenery. You’ll also find a bar in these lounges.

The cabins:

The cabins may differ a little on the mid-generation ships, but they all have the same high standard whether they are inside or outside. A small number of cabins are equipped with bunk beds. Some of the cabins on decks A and B must keep their portholes closed during the period October – April. The inside cabins on deck C have blind windows.

Special Cabins:

Large, specially equipped cabins for disabled people can be found on the same deck as the ship’s reception.
