This apartment, belonging to 'Alexander', is in the residential section of the large 'Starlinist' building that housed the hotel known as the 'Ukraina Hotel'. The hotel section has now been refurbished to a VERY up-market hotel.

This well known building has always had private dwellings as well as the hotel. Both the hotel and the apartments were for the more privileged persons in the Soviet system. There are views from the windows and you are but a stroll from the banks of the Moscow River where you can also look across to the Russian White House.
