Lake Baikal tour
Musuems & Huskie Dog Sledding

What could be more iconic in a Siberian landscape than wizzing along a snow trail being hauled by eager artic huskies! Add this option to the existing Irkutsk stopover. It would be done on day 2 of your Irkutsk/Lake Baikal stop.
Departure from hotel/homestay: 9:30 am. Back to Irkutsk at 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Duration 8 to 9 hours.
After Listvyanka settlement sightseeing, museums etc you travel to the dog kennels. Here you have brief instructions and see how your team of racing huskies are harnessed. You are then off along the forest trail. Yes, you are in control of the sled and its team – mush!. An experienced guide-instructor will escort your trip by skidoo.
Note: It is possible to share the ‘driving’ amongst others in your party. The total trail lap is 10 km. You can change drivers at the 5km mark, or other points – max 3 persons per sled. You can arrange longer rides for a surcharge.
