Here is a sample itinerary you could use for a group of friends.
DAY 1 : FLIGHTS
Depart for Nice.
DAY 2 : AVIGNON (B)
Meet your driver and coach and travel to Avignon. Spend the afternoon exploring the Vauclusian capital at your leisure. Soak up the atmosphere of Avignon’s public squares, which are lined with cafes and street performers.
First night’s accommodation in Avignon
DAY 3 : ORANGE (B)
This morning, journey north to Chateau Neuf du Pape and enjoy a guided tour of this well-known Provençal winery, including a tasting of the property’s own white and red wines. Continue on to Orange for lunch (at own expense). This afternoon, visit Orange’s magnificent Roman Theatre, which housed over 10,000 spectators. Travel to Saint Saturnin Les Avignon and enjoy a visit to an authentic Provençal honey farm. Practice your French with your beekeeper host! Return to Avignon in the evening.

DAY 4 : VAISON LA ROMAINE, CARPENTRAS, AVIGNON (B)
Spend the morning exploring the local market in Les Halles. Travel to Vaison La Romaine and visit the Big Provençal Market, where you can buy Provençal treats, such as sausages with olives, tapenade, anchoïade, truffles, fougasses (a local bread), olive oil and a variety of local herbs. The market also stocks a range of local handicrafts. After lunch (at own expense), transfer to Carpentras and tour a Berlingot sweets factory with your French-speaking host. Return to Avignon in the mid-afternoon. Enjoy a guided tour of the Palais des Papes and then visit the Pont St Benezet at your leisure. Before returning to your hotel, you might like to try fin chocolate at the famous Pâtisserie Mallard.
Third night’s accommodation in Avignon
DAY 5 : AVIGNON (B)
Enjoy a guided tour of an olive farm, including a walk through the 15 hectare olive grove and a visit to the oil mill where the producers press their fruits to extract perfumed oils. The tour ends with a sampling of oils, tapenades and different kinds of olives. Continue on to Arles for lunch (at own expense). Arles is famed for its Roman and Romanesque attractions, which include several UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. Visit the Roman amphitheatre, the Arena, the Roman Theatre and the Cemetery of the Alyscamps.

DAY 6 : LES BAUX, SAINT REMY, ARLES (B,D)
This morning, visit the picturesque village of Les Baux De Provence, where humans have had a presence from the Neolithic period onwards. Visit the 10th century citadel and organise your lunches (at own expense). Enjoy an afternoon’s cooking class with an English-speaking chef in Saint Remy De Provence. See how much you’ve learnt when you taste your creations at the end of the session for dinner!
Second night’s accommodation in Arles
DAY 7 : SAINT REMY, CAVAILLON, ARLES (B,L)
This morning enjoy your second cooking class and lunch in Saint Remy De Provence. Visit the pretty village of Cavaillon. Explore its historic centre, featuring a 1st century Roman Arch, the domed ceilings of the Chapelle Saint-Jacques and the Chapelle du Grand Couvent, and the old city fortifications. Return to Arles in the early evening.

DAY 8 : MARTIGUES, MARSEILLE (B,L)
This morning, travel to Martigues and meet your English-speaking chef, who will guide you through the local fish market and then teach you how to make the famous bouillabaisse in his restaurant. At the end of the session, eat the meal you’ve prepared together. Continue on to Marseille this afternoon. Enjoy a guided tour of France’s oldest city. Marseille was founded by the Phoceans in 600BC, developed by the Romans as a trading town and is today a multicultural and yet very Provençal city.

DAY 9 : MARSEILLE, AIX EN PROVENCE (B)
Explore Marseille at your leisure this morning. After lunch (at own expense), travel to Aix en Provence and spend a free afternoon in the lovely town centre. Return to Marseille in the early evening.
Second night’s accommodation in Marseille
DAY 10 : PIERREFEU DU VAR, CANNES (B)
After breakfast, depart Marseille for the Domaine des Peirecedes in Pierrefeu du Var. Enjoy a tour of the vineyard before tasting samples from the local cellar and other regional produce, such as cheese, olive oil, paté and fig jam. This afternoon visit a goat cheese maker at his farm. Continue on to Cannes in the evening.

DAY 11 : MOUGINS, TOURETTES SUR LOUP (B,L)
Enjoy a cooking class in Mougins followed by your self-prepared lunch. This afternoon, visit one of the most famous confiseries on the Riviera, Confiserie Florian in Tourettes sur Loup and enjoy the scenery of les Gorges du Loup.
Second night’s accommodation in Cannes
DAY 12 : MOUGINS, ST PAUL DE VENCE (B,L)
Enjoy your last morning of cooking classes in Mougins, followed by a final lunch. This afternoon, travel to the beautiful walled village of St Paul De Vence, inspiration to many famous artists, painters, writers and poets.
Third night’s accommodation in Cannes
DAY 13 : CANNES (B)
After breakfast, travel to Nice. Stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and explore the town centre at your own pace, including a visit to the markets of Cours Saleya and Place Saint-François. Organise your own lunches; you might like to try the regional specialties of salade niçoise, ratatouille or pissaladières, an onion, anchovy and olive tart (at own expense). This afternoon travel to the principality of Monaco and explore the small city before returning to Cannes in the evening.
Fourth night’s accommodation in Cannes
DAY 14 : CANNES (B)
Transfer to Nice for your flight home.
