Our travel plans are designed to be flexible and cater for non aircraft enthusiast partners as well. The following information is designed to give you a starting point for your travel to New Zealand.
Warbirds and Us
Warbirds Over Wanaka has become the
leading airshow in the Southern Hemisphere attracting not only local visitors from New
Zealand and Australia, but ever increasing numbers from Europe and North America. Many
attributes combine to make this such a popular event with obviously aircraft type and
quality of the flying displays being the decisive factor. In addition, there is the
natural amphitheatre nature of the airfield with its backdrop of magnificent
snowcapped mountains. For those in Australia reading this you might have seen the TV ad
for Cold Ice Beer the one with the MIG15. That was filmed in the area.
Add to all this the other natural wonders of New Zealand including a few good
aviation museums and you have a total package of excitement, history, scenery and
culture.
At Passport Travel have an above average knowledge of New Zealand. We have New Zealanders in the business and our Australian born staff have visited New Zealand many times. The New Zealand Tourism Board appointed us as a KEA (Kiwi Expert Agent) agent, their official accreditation mark. Passport Travel has been awarded KEA Agency of the Year on more than one occasion. When we say we will give you a personalised itinerary we mean it.
Our mixture of accommodation and selection of cars and campervans mean you can enjoy this great event in comfort and with the flexibility required. This flexibility allows you to enjoy some of the other natural attractions New Zealand has to offer along with other places of aeronautical interest.
We are an official Australian representative for Maui campervan for the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow. Your reservation with us ensures you receive your added bonuses!
