Encounter trips are based around travelling overland rather than flying. They are
designed to be fun, to get the adrenaline flowing and are packed full of adventurous
activities. These range from wildlife safaris or exploration of ancient ruined
civilisations to more active adventures. How about white-water rafting down the White
Nile, hiking the Inca Trail or perhaps riding camels across the Thar desert of Rajasthan?
Each trip will have a number of different activities. Some of these may be integral to the
trip, such as African game parks and so will be done by the whole group. However, many
activities are optional and you can decide how wild you want to get. If hurtling down from
the High Andes to steaming cloud forest on a mountain bike is not your thing, then relax
in the streets of La Paz. You can be completely flexible to suit your own requirements and
