Encounter Overland began organising overland adventure travel
back in 1964. Since then the name Encounter Overland has been synonymous with overland
adventure travel, a byword for getting out into the wilds and discovering new experiences
and challenges.
Today’s Encounter runs
adventurous active holidays and overland adventure travel expeditions through the three
great continents of Asia, Africa
and South
America. Our overland adventure travel expeditions are designed to be
fun, to get the adrenaline flowing and are packed full of adventurous activities. There
will be plenty of opportunities to try white-water rafting down the White Nile, or gravity
assisted mountain biking from the High Andes down to steaming cloud forest, or perhaps
riding camels across the Thar Desert of Rajasthan.
