Day 1 Amsterdam
Transfer from by private deluxe coach from
Amsterdam Airport to your Amsterdam down town hotel.
Sightseeing tour of Amsterdam by coach, with a
local guide.
Narrated canal cruise on the canals of
Amsterdam.
Welcome dinner in a local restaurant.
Overnight in Amsterdam
Day 2 Aalsmeer and Lisse
Early breakfast to visit the Aalsmeer flower
auction; the world's largest flower market
(Monday-Friday).
Visit to the Keukenhof in Lisse; the largest
flower garden in the world (March 22 - May 20,
2007).
Overnight in Amsterdam
Day 3 Marken and Volendam
Travel north to the village of Marken, a former
fishermen's village on the IJsselmeer. Here you can
see life as it used to be, with the authentic
village style and where the people still wear the
traditional costumes.
From Marken take a boatride to Volendam,
picturesque and representative of Dutch
tradition. You can even have your picture taken in
traditional Dutch costumes (not included).
Visit a cheese farm, to see how cheese is made
and of course taste the wide variety of different
cheeses.
Back to Amsterdam where you can spend the rest
of the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight in Amsterdam.
Day 4 Delft, Kinderdijk and Brussels
Check out and departure for Brussels via Delft
and Kinderdijk.
In Delft enjoy a guided city tour and a visit
the popular Delft Blue Pottery factory for an
exhibition and tour.
Visit Kinderdijk, which is listed on the Unesco
World heritage list. See 14 windmills in a row,
along the dike, a true photo opportunity if there
ever was one!
Continue to Brussels for check in.
Dinner in a local restaurant.
Overnight in Brussels.
Day 5 Brussels
In the morning a guided sightseeing tour of
Brussels on foot and by coach. See the main sights
of Brussels such as the Royal Palace, the Palace of
Justice and the beautiful market square.
Afternoon visit Museum of Modern Art: The
building it self, designed in 1984 by the architects
Beek and Bastin, is worth visiting, as it is eight
floors under the ground, around a well of light! The
museum houses a permanent collection of 20th
century sculptures, paintings and drawings.
Rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight in Brussels.
Day 6 Ghent and Bruges
In the morning you will go to Ghent to see the
famous painting " The adoration of the Lamb" by the
Brothers van Eyck in the St. Bavo's cathedral.
Continue with a walking tour to see the Belfort,
the St. Michielsbrug and the Graslei.
Time to have lunch on your own in Ghent.
Continue through the beautiful Flamish landscape
to the medieval city of Bruges where you will have a
guided walking tour, you will see the Holy blood
Chapel, the Belfort, Lake of Love and the Beguinage.
Back to Brussels for dinner on your own and
overnight.
Day 7 Waterloo, Brussels
In the morning visit to Waterloo, where Napolean
was defeated. See the Lion of Waterloo and visit the
visitor center.
Afternoon free for independent sightseeing and
souvenir shopping.
Farewell dinner in a local restaurant.
Overnight in Brussels.
Day 8 Departure
- Check out of hotel and transfer to Brussels
airport for your return flight.
