The Classics

Day 01 - Arrive Tashkent.  
You will be met upon arrival at the airport/station and transferred to your hotel.  Sightseeing with guide in the afternoon visiting the 
old city, Barak Khan Madrassa founded in the 16th century by a descendent of Tamerlane who ruled Tashkent during the Shaybanid dynasty, Yunus Khan Mausoleum, Kaffal al Shashi Mazar, Kukeldash Madrassa built in the mid 16th century by the ruler‘s vizier, Kukeldash, after secular use as a Soviet warehouse and museum, the Museum of Applied Art, Square of Independence, Friendship People' Square, the Metro, and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. 

Day 02 - Tashkent. 
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the short flight to Urgench.  You will be met upon arrival and driven to Khiva and your hotel located in the old city.  Full day sightseeing of this fabled fortress city with your guide visiting 
Ichan Kala, Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassa & Minaret, Kunya Ark, Pakhlavan Mahmud Complex, Islam Khodja Madrassa & Minaret (1908), Jumma Mosque, Tash Hauli Allakuli Khan Palace, and of course, time for shopping in the Bazaar.

Day 03 - Khiva. 
Drive through the Kyzyl Kum Desert
to Bukhara and check into your hotel in the early afternoon.  Rest of the day at leisure to stroll around the Lyabi Hauz area, the social centre of Bukhara.  Lounge on a traditional chaikhana in the shade of the mulberry trees to drink green tea, eat shashliks, or try your hand at dominoes with the locals!

Day 04 - Bukhara
An extraordinary mix of markets and monuments.  Here you will see some of the finest Islamic architecture in the world.  Your sightseeing will include a visit to the 
Chashma Ayub Mazar,  Poi-Kalan Complex, Ulugbeg Madrassa, the Lyabi Hauz Complex, Samanid’s Mausoleum, Nadir Divanbegi Madrassa, and the impressive Ulugbeg Ark Fortress.

Day 05 - Bukhara. 
Full day sightseeing with guide visiting Sitorai Mokhi Khosa (Palace of the Moon & Stars – summer residence of the last Bukhara Emir), Bolo Khauz Mosque, & Complex Bakhoutdin Nakshbandy.

Day 06 - Bukhara. 
Drive to Samarkand and check into your hotel after lunch.  Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 07 - Samarkand
One of the oldest cities in Central Asia and once an important trade centre on the famous Silk Road.  Full day sightseeing with guide visiting the
Gur Emir Mausoleum, Rukhabad Necropolis, Registan Square, undoubtedly Uzbekistan's most famous attraction, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Ulugbeg Observatory, the outstanding hillside necropolis of Shakh-i-Zinda and Al Bukhari Complex. 

Day 08 - Samarkand. 
Today your guide and driver will take you on a full day sightseeing excursion to
Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Tamerlane.  It is a spectacular drive past some magnificent mountain scenery.  You will visit Ak Sarai (summer residence of Tamerlane), Malik Azhdar Khanagha, Jumma Mosque, Kok Gumbaz, Dorut Tilyavat (House of Meditation) and the Dorus Siadat complexes.  On returning to Samarkand you can stop at one of the numerous chaikhanas set up over the mountain streams where you can enjoy eating home cooked food in a tranquil atmosphere.

Day 09 - Samarkand. 
Drive to Tashkent via the beautiful market village of Urgut.  There is a bi-weekly market here on Thursdays and Sundays and is a colourful affair with traders selling local wares.  Continue on to Tashkent and Hotel for overnight.

Day 10 -
Transfer to airport or station - Services end
