Travelling in 2011

With current exchange rates you should be off! If you are planning to travel to Europe, or the U.S. it would pay to gather together your currency needs whilst the AU$ is so strong. Most banks offer a Cash Passport (Foreign currency on a card) product. The latest offer from the CWB is a card that can hold up to six foreign currencies. The AU$ may not be so strong in 6 months. If you have one of these cards you can load it when the rates are strong.

Organise Your Own Group

You might have a group of friends, club members, or a VERY large family. You could organize a group to a destination that you are familiar with and by organizing this group gain the financial advantage of a reasonable number of people traveling together and doing similar things.

Your group could be the sole focus of a the participants overseas travel, or could be just one segment of their overall plans. You would want to focus on 10 - 16 persons to give everyone  a well priced adventure with a manageable number of people. You might look at a destination with which you have an above average knowledge your self, or a place that takes your fancy and likewise your fellow companions.
